PVD-surface treatment
PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) means coating a surface with a thin metal layer for different functionality. E.g. electromagnetic shielding, reflection or decorative surfaces.
PVD-treatment
There are several different techniques for pvd-coating of a surface.
AMB offers vacuum metallization by thermal (heat) evaporation. This means that vaporization of one or more metals takes place in a vacuum and the gas cloud that forms then condenses on parts to be coated.
PVD-materials
Several different metals or alloys can be evaporated and condensed in different layer thicknesses depending on the desired functionality.
AMB offers coatings with aluminum or a nickel-chromium alloy in thicknesses from approximately 80 nm (billionths of a meter) to 5 µm (millionths of a meter).
