AMB was founded in 1946 and is a typical example of the entrepreneurial spirit that characterised the period after the Second World War. The company has been privately owned ever since its founding, and is today third generation family-owned.
AMB is characterised by a flat organisation with short decision paths and personal accountability. This results in good production economy, committed employees and a personal customer approach.
At AMB, we work systematically and pragmatically to create value at every stage. For us, 5S has been second nature since the beginning of the millennium, as you will see when you visit our factory. We have the necessary ISO certification, and our work is structured according to Lean methodology. We encourage creativity and personal accountability.
Our employees possess many different skills and have broad experience; they work with such things as process control, lacquering, logistics, assembly, project management and administration.
Assignments
AMB employs around 160 people with widely diverse backgrounds and experience. There are many different assignments and we often recruit internally when the need arises, which provides excellent personal development opportunities. Typical assignments include:
Operator
As an operator your work consists of manual picking, checks and the inspection of parts.
Process technician, lacquering
As a technician at our facility for decorative lacquering, your work comprises the simple programming and process monitoring of lacquering robots and other equipment. Your work also includes running maintenance in the facility.
Process technician, injection moulding
As a technician in the injection moulding department, your work includes replacing tools, adjusting parameters and developing processes. You’re also responsible for test runs in collaboration with our project managers.
Logistician
Because we work with so many high-volume products, well-functioning logistics are absolutely vital. As a logistician at AMB, you work closely with our customers, cross-check forecasts with the current order and delivery situation, and plan production together with our production managers.
Project Manager
As a project manager, you work closely with our customers. You’re AMB’s public face and take care of new projects, from the customer’s initial outline idea until the part is in production. You contribute with personal commitment and technical expertise in areas such as injection moulding, lacquering or clean-room production.
Administration
AMB is a manufacturing company in which the majority of employees work in the parts involved in production. But, of course, administration is equally important, and your work includes payroll, invoicing and inventory matters.
