About the product
In common with many other paint manufacturers, Berlac creates collections with so-called trending colours. It tries to capture today’s zeitgeist and express it in colours. Designers need inspiration, and Berlac tries to help them in their work by providing a set of colour samples.
It’s often what’s behind McDonald’s or Max redoing their interiors or colour choices for kitchen utensils and other products and their packaging. As a paint manufacturer, the company also hopes to be a potential supplier when new products are developed. There are currently 31 different colours to admire. And you’re not alone in getting inspiration, as the collection is distributed to many major, well-known companies in industries such as watchmaking, automotive and white goods.
What does AMB do?
AMB has:
• participated in the design development
• developed the tool
• moulded plates
• metallised and lacquered 31 different effect colours
• cut the plates
We welcome customers who need all of our processes, and Berlac fits the bill perfectly.
Injection moulding. We moulded the plates in four different materials. This is because Berlac must be able to demonstrate that a lacquer both adheres to and looks good on different materials, so that it can be used in many different contexts.
Metallising. We have metallised 4 of the 31 colours in the vacuum chamber. The combination of metallising and lacquer are among AMB’s special abilities.
Lacquering. We’ve lacquered 31 different colours on our second lacquer line.
Assembly. We cut the plates from the sprue, runners and gates, which also serve as a fixture during metallising and lacquering.
