In principle, it can be said that color is the visual perception based on the electromagnetic spectrum and describes how we perceive e.g., blue, pink, green. But internationally, scientifically, and culturally, there are many ways of describing colors, each with its own terminology. For humans, a color is caused by light with a wavelength between 400 and 780 nanometers, which gives a sensory impression that is mediated by the eye and processed by the brain. Another definition is that color is the only property that can be used to distinguish two structureless surfaces by eye.
