About the product
The finished product is mainly used in fire and gas detection systems in marine environments, i.e. on boats and oil platforms, but also on trains. The system consists of several different units where you build control panels, amplifiers and different types of detectors together, and make them communicate with each other. It is also possible to upgrade the system for, e.g. new requirements for fire safety and for renovations or upgrades. This is done by adapting the software for new, more modern units and in this way you do not need to install a completely new detection system, which otherwise is a big investment.
What does AMB do?
AMB moulds casings for control panels and repeater units, which are mounted in cabinets and control centers. The material in the details is PC/ABS with flame retardant to meet the laws and fire classification requirements that apply to the different industries where the products are used. After injection moulding, sub-assembly of, among other things, bushings and cables is done before they are delivered to Consilium.
