About the product<\/h3>\n

Neuro 2 is a cochlear implant developed for people with severe hearing loss. It is an electronic medical device that works by converting acoustic sound into electrical signals that is sent directly to the auditory nerve.<\/p>\n

Conventional hearing aids capture sound, amplify it, and then transmit the sound into the ear canal. There are also implants that transmit sound waves through the skull (bone anchored) to the inner ear (a solution that Cochlear, among others, develops).<\/p>\n

But if the hearing loss is too severe, the amplified sound does not help through a hearing aid or through the skull. Instead, a cochlear implant sends the audio signal directly to the auditory nerve. This means that, unlike conventional hearing aids, a cochlear implant can bypass the damaged parts of the hearing organ. The implant captures the sound, processes it and then stimulates the auditory nerve through electrical impulses.<\/p>\n

Neuro 2 is the smallest BTE<\/span><\/span> audio processor ever manufactured for a cochlear implant. Its design has already been awarded a number of prestigious awards.<\/p>\n

Just like conventional hearing aids, you can stream audio wirelessly from any type of electronic device, such as your phone or TV. The hearing aid also has the highest rating for cochlear implants against water and dust (IP68), which e.g. means you can take a shower with it.<\/p>\n

What does AMB do?<\/h3>\n

Lacquering.<\/i>A total of ten different geometries are included in the Neuro 2 project, nine of which are painted in ten different colors. The largest detail, Housing, has a remarkable three different loose pieces on its fixture to mask critical areas.<\/span><\/p>\n

About Oticon Medical<\/h3>\n

Oticon Medical is part of the Demant Group, which includes Oticon and Bernafon, among others. Oticon Medical is headquartered at Kongebakken outside Copenhagen, but the company also has offices in Gothenburg for bone-anchored solutions.
