What does AMB do?<\/h3>\n

AMB lacquers the three visible components of the hearing aid:<\/p>\n

\u2022 The lower section, where all the electronics are<\/p>\n

\u0007\u2022 The cover<\/p>\n

\u0007\u2022 Battery aperture<\/p>\n

In order to hold the parts during lacquering and to meet masking requirements, AMB and Tingverken jointly develop plastic fixtures and masks that are unique to every part intended for lacquering. Tingverken builds the injection moulding tools, while AMB moulds the fixtures and masks.<\/p>\n

Processes<\/h3>\n

All three parts are lacquered in three layers: primer, base coat and topcoat. The primer is needed to create adhesion to the plastic (otherwise all the colour would peel off). The base coat provides the colour effect (i.e. if the part is red, blue or has a metallic effect). The topcoat protects the underlying layers and also the plastic. You can choose whether this layer should be matte or gloss. Intiga is available in ten different colours, thus also ten different base coats.<\/p>\n

After lacquering, the cover and the lower section pass through our fully automatic inspection installation where they\u2019re inspected and packed in bags or on trays. After final inspection, they\u2019re sent to the customer for assembly.<\/p>\n
